The Good Stuff
Bookends and Andrew Peterson
Good Bookends
When I moved into a townhouse several years ago, I left behind built-in bookshelves and needed to reconfigure my books. It was apparent that I needed more bookends. I tried a pair of Acrimet Steel Metal Bookends and ended up buying a bunch of them. They are completely inobtrusive (unless you buy the yellow ones, I suppose – mine are black), have a non-slip base, and have the solid heft of a good tool. I have many decorative bookends, for the most part given to me as gifts over the years, but there isn’t always space for one. You can get cheaper bookends, but why? These will last you for life.

Resurrection Letters
I’ve written about Andrew Peterson a couple of times before. I've think he’s one of the best Christian singer-songwriters around. Several years ago he produced a few albums thematically centered on Easter. The Resurrection Letters contain some of my favorite Peterson songs, and I listen to them every year at this time. The Prologue album concerns Good Friday in particular, and is a good starting point. I wanted to embed and share “All Things Together” above, as it is one of my favorite examples of sung scripture, which is something I wish we would do more in church. I won’t write more - go give it a listen!

Thanks for the Andrew Peterson piece, Jack. We love “Behold the Lamb of God” for Advent, and look forward to listening to “The Resurrection Letters” in the same way for Lent and Holy Week. Blessings.
