Haha. It is good, though, to have readers in your life who can provide interesting leads to writers that are new to you. I read a book by the essayist Joseph Epstein a few weeks ago in which he commented that his pick for best 20th century American novelist is Willa Cather. I've read very little by her, and that was long ago. I'm always glad to get ideas like this - it keeps my mind from staying within accustomed ranges.
